This week we welcomed our latest cohort of Tech for Good founders into the BGV community. Starting this week the founders will go through an intensive support programme to help them launch and scale their businesses. Meet the teamsThe teams were selected from more than 130 applications and without further ado, meet the eight Tech for Good companies. AllyAlly is on a mission to build a community for people with alopecia, connecting them and building a support system for their members globally. CatapillrCatapillr are designing an employee benefit platform to enable them to manage childcare costs and increase their opportunities to return to work. EarwigEarwig is building a platform for construction workers on temporary contracts, allowing them to make better-informed decisions about their workplaces. Earwig’s place on the programme is supported through our WorkerTech partnership with the Resolution Trust and Accenture UK. MusemioMusemio is a virtual reality edtech platform for kids where culture meets curriculum, increasing access and opportunities for children of any background to attain more cultural content. RapitationSweat & Sound is developing the world's first rap & spoken word meditation app called Rapitation to engage teenagers in mindfulness and meditation. It’s one of the two teams supported through our partnership with The Children’s Society. Safeguard-MeSafeguard-Me is a secure web-based portal allowing organisations to easily record, update and maintain essential vetting information on all staff working with children in one digital register. Safeguard-Me is also supported through our partnership with The Children’s Society. Tranquil CityTranquil City creates interactive urban maps to help users discover and share tranquillity in large cities, promoting healthier routes for active citizens and inform future urban planning. XeroEXeroE is a platform for companies to arrange environmentally friendly transport when and where they need it to reduce air pollution.
