Is it time to quit your job and launch that new start up?

At Bethnal Green Ventures we support entrepreneurs looking to solve some of the UK’s toughest problems, such as the health and wellbeing of an ageing population and the education of young people. We’re now looking for more early stage ventures to take part in a our next programme, which kicks off in July 2014.

Who are we?

Bethnal Green Ventures is an accelerator programme for new technology ventures solving social and environmental problems. Over the past three years we have supported over 30 social venture teams, helped 88 founders to quit their jobs, raised £1.3 M of follow on investment and made tens of of thousands of cups of coffee. So we reckon we’re starting to get the hang of things… We’ve supported teams like Fairphone, TechMums and Sentimoto you can read more about our portfolio here.

So what are we looking for?

We are looking for ambitious, early-stage teams using technology to address some of the toughest social and environmental challenges.  From disrupting education to revolutionising healthcare, to coding against climate change. You can find out more details about what we’re looking for here.

What’s the deal?

We invest £15,000 in ten successful teams in exchange for 6% equity and provide three months of intensive support to help you get your idea off the ground. We do this with the help our large network of mentors, brilliant alumni and the BGV team. We also provide you with free office space in central london.
