Founder Friday #1 – How to close a successful seed round

By Ben

Earlier this week we launched our Founder Focus series on BGV’s new YouTube channel, featuring lots of tips and advice from our community of tech for good founders. Every Friday for the next few weeks we’ll be featuring a new video for ‘Founder Fridays’. To kick things off, the first video to be featured is all about fundraising.

Mike Saunders from Commonplace and John Lees-Miller from Overleaf talk about their journey to closing a successful seed round. Raising the funds to propel your business to the next level is never easy, and can often take longer than you might think.

Also featured in the video is Mike Mompi from ClearlySo, angel investor William Reeve and our own Melanie Hayes, talking about what entrepreneurs need to demonstrate to investors to send the right signal and get that deal over the line.

We hope you enjoy the video. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more great content.
