Introducing the Tech for Good Report with Peter Day

By Dama Sathianathan

At BGV we strongly believe that tech can help tackle some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges and over the past few years we have seen an incredible amount of growth in the Tech for Good community. We’re very proud to help organise the Tech for Good London meetup with CAST which now has over 6,000 members. But we’re not resting on our laurels and we’d like to grow the Tech for Good movement even further.

We are thrilled to announce that we’re launching a new podcast called “The Tech for Good Report” hosted by Peter Day, the legendary former presenter of the BBC’s ‘In Business’. In this series, we’ll talk about all things tech for good with friends and members of this community. Whether you’re on your morning commute wanting to understand what Tech for Good is all about, or fancy hearing about inspiring projects and the brilliant minds behind them, there is going to be something for everyone.

The very first episode features BGV alumni The Hard Yard, How Do I?, Mental Snapp, as well as BGV’s own Paul Miller. You’ll also hear from Vicki Hearn from Nominet Trust talking about the potential of digital for good and the social tech guide NT100, Cassie Robinson tackling the question if tech is inherently benign and Dan Sutch from CAST telling us more about Tech for Good in the nonprofit sector. Have a listen and let us know what you think.  Tweet: We launched the #TechForGood Report with Peter Day! Have a listen & let us know what you think! https://ctt.ec/AHbcP+
