We’re hiring! Associate roles at BGV

By Paul Miller

We’re hiring for two roles at BGV to start in January 2021 when our excellent current Associates Will and Mehdi will sadly be leaving us. Over the next few weeks Will and Mehdi will be posting about their experience working with BGV – so look out for that!

What do the roles entail?

The Programme Associate will work with our Programme Manager to deliver our BGV Spring and Autumn programmes. You’ll be the ‘go-to person’ on the programme, acting as the first point of contact for the startups. You will build strong relationships with the startups and will help to tailor the programme so that it meets their aims and goals. Check the full job description and apply here.

The Communications and Events Associate will work with our Communications Manager and be responsible for maintaining our social media accounts and website for BGV and Tech for Good Global as well as analysing communications statistics on our visibility and reach. You’ll also help organise our events – including Demo Days (whether they’re virtual or face-to-face!) and Tech for Good Meetups. Check the full job description and apply here.

What can we offer you at BGV?

We’re a relatively small team of eleven people –  all extremely passionate about supporting founders scale and launch their tech for good businesses. Depending on Covid-restrictions when the roles start, we’ll be based out of x+why in East London, a  purpose-driven co-working space with many organisations driving social impact across the tech and consumer industries. Our offer includes:

  • A 12-month full-time role paid at £25,000 with a broad range of experience
  • The opportunity to build relationships with the tech for good community in London and beyond – be they impact investors, startups, policymakers or funders.
  • The opportunity to have a say in what and where you want to develop while gaining a broad overview of what goes on at Bethnal Green Ventures.

Could that be you? If so, find out more about the roles and apply! We use Applied to ensure equal opportunities for everyone and welcome applications from individuals from all walks of life.
