
Introducing our Winter 2016 Cohort
It's the most wonderful time of the year - when BGV announces its latest cohort of course! Once again we found ourselves inundated with quality applications, making it harder than ever to choose the teams for Winter 2016. After an exhaustive selection process, including a whopping 80 interviews across four days, we are thrilled to announce the following teams who will join us for the programme kicking off in January:
Bright Little Labs
Bright Little Labs is a multi-platform children’s content company. Through cartoons, books, games, apps and educational toys, they tell stories that inspire children to create a fairer world by teaching them about sustainability.
Democracy Club
Democracy Club is a non-partisan company that aims to make the process of democracy better for everyone. They create digital tools and datasets that help democracy thrive.
Logameal
Logameal is an app that helps people start and maintain healthier eating habits just by taking photos of what they eat. The app recognizes food in the photo and offers nutritional advice. By knowing what and when people eat it can make healthy recommendations for future meals.
Mycarematters
Mycarematters is an online service making a person's non-medical preferences (such as food preferences or things that are important to them) available to health professionals in hospitals or care homes.
pkBoo
pkBoo is a mobile app that helps parents find like minded people nearby as well as helping people overcome postnatal depression.
Plaquechecker
Plaquechecker is a smart phone device that can be used to monitor and check for plaque and gum conditions.
Plexus
Plexus provide a series of digital resources and tools to help people manage the challenges of work.
Route21
Route21 is a digital solution to help young people discover new opportunities in their local area – be it an internship, an event or another learning initiative.
Willow
Willow is an online Funeral Director that helps you make the right choices for you and your loved ones.
